Abstract

This study reviews iron deficiency anemia among adolescent girls, focusing on its causes, risk factors, health effects, and prevention. It aims to examine the prevalence of iron deficiency anemia, identify associated factors, evaluate intervention strategies, and promote healthy dietary habits. The document discusses the increased vulnerability of adolescent girls due to growth-related iron requirements, menstrual blood loss, and inadequate dietary iron intake. It also reviews local and foreign literature on anemia prevalence, nutritional status, and contributing factors. The project highlights the importance of iron-rich foods, appropriate supplementation, nutrition education, and preventive health practices to address iron deficiency anemia among adolescent girls.
